Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology Benjamin Hugh Cheek,
M.D., earned his medical
degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta in 1982.
Dr. Cheek completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology
at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Cheek is Board Certified by The American Board of Obstetrics
& Gynecology. He is also a member of the American Medical
Association, Fellow of The American College of Obstetrics and

Obstetrics and Gynecology at Madigan Medical Center. Dr. Thorne
was assistant chief of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Reynolds
Community Hospital from 1988 to 1992. Dr. Thorne is Board Certified
by The American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. He is
also a member of the American Medical Association, Fellow of
The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the
Georgia Obstetrical And Gynecological Society. Dr. Thorne

Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology Joseph Eikelberry,
MD, earned his medical degree from the Northeastern
Ohio Universities College of Medicine in 1994,
graduating with Honors. Dr. Eikelberry completed his training
in Obstetrics and Gynecology at SUMMA Health System in Akron,
Ohio in June of 1998, serving as a Chief Resident in his final
year of Residency. He is Board Certified by the American Board
of Obstetrics & Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American
College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. His professional
memberships include the American Medical Association, the Georgia
Obstetrical and Gynecological Society, and the Muscogee County
Medical Society. Dr. Eikelberry maintains hospital privileges
at The Medical Center and Doctors Hospital. Dr. Eikelberry is
the Immediate Past Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics
and Gynecology at The Medical Center, and is currently serving
as the Chief-of-Staff-Elect for The Medical Center. He and his
wife Georgia have two sons, Max and Ian. His personal interests
include TaeKwonDo, running, hiking, backpacking and camping.

from the University of Iowa. Prior to practicing in Columbus,
she was in private practice in Orlando Florida. Dr. Epley is

She is also a Fellow of The American College of Obstetrics and

M.D. earned his medical degree from Mercer University
School of Medicine, Macon, Georgia in June 2002. He completed
his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Carolinas Medical
Center, Charlotte, North Carolina in June 2006. Dr. Stephens
began practicing in Columbus in August of 2006. He is currently
board eligible and is a Junior Fellow of The American College
of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a member of the Medical
Association of Georgia, the Georgia Obstetrical and Gynecological
Society, and the Muscogee County Medical Society. Dr Stephens

School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Obstetrics
and Gynecology from Mercer University School of Medicine, Savannah
campus. Prior to practicing in Columbus, she was in private
practice in Jessup, Georgia. Dr. Chappelle is a Junior Fellow
of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists,
a member of the Georgia Medical Society, and the Society of
Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. Dr. Chappelle maintains privileges
at Doctors Hospital and The Medical Center. She is married to
Greyson Chappelle and has one son. She enjoys music, traveling,

Nurse Midwife Melissa Terry Flynn, C.N.M.,
earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University
in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to becoming a Nurse Midwife,
Ms. Terry Flynn completed her Master of Science in Nursing at
the University of Alabama at Birmingham and was certified as
an OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Specialist in Reproductive
Endocrinology. She then returned to UAB to complete post masters
study in Nurse Midwifery and was certified as a Nurse Midwife
in December 1991. While at Vanderbilt, Ms. Terry Flynn received
the Amy Francis Brown Prize for Excellence in Writing. During
her Masters study, Ms. Terry Flynn was inducted into Sigma Theta
Tau National Nursing Honor Society. She is a member of the American
College of Nurse Midwives. Ms. Terry Flynn maintains Allied
Health Staff Privileges at both Doctors Hospital and The Medical
Center. A former Columbus High School graduate, Ms. Terry Flynn
has lived throughout the southeast. She has a son and two daughters,
and spends her free time following her children's activities,

Nurse Midwife Courtney-Maree Heynen, C.N.M., earned
her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri
in Columbia, MO. Mrs. Heynen completed her certificate of Nurse-Midwifery
from the Frontier School of Nurse-Midwifery and Family Nursing
in Hyden, Kentucky and her Master of Science in Nursing degree
from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Mrs.
Heynen is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives,
the National Association of Neonatal Nurses and the National
Association of Childbearing Centers. Mrs. Heynen maintains Allied
Health Staff privileges at both Doctor's Hospital and The Medical
Center. She and her husband Paul, have one son. Hobbies include
